Jeep Gladiator
Jeep Gladiator is a complete pickup truck, which is based on Jeep Wagoneer SUV. It was first introduced in the year 1962. Designations for Gladiator was J200, J300 (truck with long wheel base), J2000, J3000, and J4000. J4000 model is the first vehicle to have longer 131-inch wheelbase.
Gladiators do come with 4WD, RWD, and either with independent front suspension or solid front axle with dual rear wheels as optional feature.
Gladiator can be attained in Chassis and Cab configurations, Stake Bed, Wrecker, and campers that come with extended wheelbases.
The name Gladiator was dropped after the year 1971; it was simply known as Jeep Pickup later. These vehicles were designated as J4000 and J2000. Jeep pickup Military versions included M725 and M715.
2005 Gladiator Concept Vehicle

In the year 2004, Jeep Gladiator was introduced. The vehicle was featured with open-air canvas roof, removable doors, and fold-down windshield.
The Gladiator integrated a 2.8-L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine advanced with the common-rail technology. It can generate 163 hp horsepower and torque of around 295 lb-ft, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Ground clearance of the vehicle is around 13.7 inches. Break-over angle of the vehicle is 23.2 degrees.
2012 Jeep Gladiator

Jeep Gladiator for the year 2012 is expected to make its debut in early 2012. It will be completely based on Gladiator 2005 concept. Gladiator is under final design and it is expected to reach the final production by the end of 2011.
Jeep is expecting to power the vehicle with bigger transport capability as you see in Wrangler pickup truck. Under the hood, you may not expect the same engine as the concept vehicle.

The concept vehicle has the 2.8-L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel common-rail engine that can generate 163 hp. The previous concept version was presented at Auto Show held in Chicago
