Versions of Gladiator Truck

Gladiator trucks were offered in various configurations: Cab and Chassis, Wrecker, Stake Bed, and Chassis mounted campers with extended wheelbase.

The name Gladiator was dropped after 1971; it was known as Jeep pickup.

They were designated as J2000 and J4000 until 1973, then J10 and J20 from 1974 to 1988. In 2005, the new Gladiator was introduced.

Engine Specification

The 2005 model was powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder common rail turbo engine that produced 163 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It was mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Exterior and Interior

The 2005 Jeep Gladiator truck was integrated with an open air canvas roof, down fold windshield, and removable doors. The expandable truck bed’s ground clearance is 13.7 inches, with a brake over angle of 23.2 degrees, approach angle of 47.6 degrees and departure angle of 38.0 degrees.

It has the capacity to handle a payload of 1,500 pounds. The front and rear tires are 34 inches, which were mounted on 18×8 inch wheels.
